FASTPITCH FORUMS
National/ regional forums
Fastpitch news and discussions
from its grassroots participants
There are many softball forums that can be found online where fans can review the hottest topics being discussed in the fastpitch world. Submissions come from players, parents, coaches, umpires, and others on the dirt or watching from the sidelines this past year – and those preparing for the upcoming season, as well.
Some of the topic areas at these sites are more active than others. Every post is dated so a visitor may have to poke around to find a recent post.
Below are a half-dozen popular forums that provide a wealth of news, opinion, information, plus questions posed and answers received from forum members.
► 43FT.COM claims to be the “USA's premier fastpitch softball forum”, billing itself as “a place for softball parents and players to discuss, review, and find softball tournaments, results, and equipment reviews.” It has a College Softball topic area.
► HEYBUCKET promotes itself as “Your Fastpitch Softball Bible”. It is a site loaded with posts that range from regional news to tips and drills to jokes and humor. There is a section for College Softball and College Recruiting, too
► DISCUSS-FASTPITCH.COM is part of the softballperformance.com network. It’s posts cover a wide variety of topics, including College Softball News and Discussions and Playing College Softball sections.
► SOFTBALL-CHANNEL FORUM is a broad-ranging mix of travel, pros, men’s, Olympic, international and community softball posts as part of the softballchannel.com home site. It also has College boards.
► UMPIRINGSOFTBALL.COM is, of course, from Blue’s perspective. This forum has a Softball Rules discussion primarily from those who apply the rules!
► USSSA MD/DE BOARDS are heavily oriented to travel-ball news and information in the Wolverines' local MD-DC-DE area.

RETRACTABLE CIRCLE
2020 Tokyo
Retractable pitching circle
featured at Olympic games
As a top sport in Japan, SOFTBALL and baseball will be among the most popular events at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
To accommodate the two sports on the same field, an innovative RETRACTABLE pitcher’s circle/mound recently has been built into the renovation of Yokohama Stadium.
The area around the pitching rubber rises or lowers according to whether fastpitch or hard ball is being played on the field.
“The pitching mound that rises and lowers automatically to transform the baseball field into a softball field is impressive,” remarked WBSC President Riccardo Fraccari.
CLICK HERE FOR A VIDEO of the retractable mound.
