DSU Hornets and Wesley Wolverines

Not far from the Wesley College campus – about 4 minutes (1.7 miles) away – lies Delaware State University (DSU), home of the NCAA Division I Hornets softball squad. The team plays in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC).
The Hornet’s schedule for 2019 starts a full week+ before the Wesley Wolverines launch their season, while the first DSU home games are five contests set for March 20 – 24. The Hornets come home again for two games on April 16 and three games on April 27-28. The remainder of their 21 matches are all on the road.
The only DSU home game that does not conflict with our Wolverine home schedule is Sunday, March 24 at 12:00 PM when the Hornets take on the Choppin State Eagles, a day after the Wolverines meet the Penn State Abington Nittany Lions on DuPont Field, for a doubleheader Saturday, March 23. It could make for a busy weekend of softball action for Wolverine fans who plan to catch the trio of games on both sides of town.
