GOOGLE ANALYTICS

Google analytics, trends
Wesley College softball blog
attracting new readers daily

The Wesley College softball Blog is niche media aimed solely at those with an interest in Wesley’s fastpitch players. (This is the 172nd post for the 2018-19 season, which includes 40+ photo albums.)

According to Google Analytics, there were 3,044 page-views over the 31 days of last month, October 2018. That is, of course, an average of 98+ a day.

Weekday visitors register significantly higher than the weekend or holiday page-views. These totals, too, are entirely winter hits, while blog readership always swells during the spring season.

The evidence is only anecdotal, but blog readers appear to be players and their friends, families and relatives, Wesley coaches, faculty, and administrators, high school recruits and several travel-ball organizations.

Over half of the visitors (56.3%) are returning regular readers, while, surprisingly, there is also a steady, substantial number of daily visitors (43.8%) who are brand new to the blog. A slight majority are male (54.15%) with female readership (45.85%) not really far behind. A majority at 61% are under 35 years-of-age, 28% are 35-54, and 11% are 55 and older.

As should be expected, 90% of the viewers are within the USA, but Germany (3%), France (2%), Portugal (2%) and Ukraine (1.5%) have had some interest in our posts. Though very tiny in stats, there have been readers from Indonesia, Russia, Singapore, and Greece, too.
